Title and Type Change
When a company’s title or type changes, this change must be reported to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and registered in the registry.
The change will apply to all industrial property rights and applications of the rights holder.
4. Assignment Procedures
Registered design rights can be transferred to third parties.
The transfer process is carried out with a notarized agreement and must be reported to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office for registration in the registry.
5. License Procedures
Registered design owners can grant the right to use the design (license) to third parties.
For the license to be officially valid, it must be reported to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and registered in the registry.
6. Transfer through Inheritance
In the event of the design owner’s death, the design rights are transferred to the heirs.
The heirs must apply to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office to register their rights.
