2 Geographic (Domestic) Domains (ccTLD - Country Code Top-Level Domains)
- They are country-specific domain names and are registered with the internet extension of the relevant country.
- Domain names with .tr extension are allocated in Turkey.
- Unlike international domain names, documents are required for the allocation of domestic domain names.
- The most commonly used domestic domain names in Turkey:
.com.tr → For commercial enterprises
.net.tr → For network and internet services
.org.tr → For NGOs and associations
.edu.tr → For universities and educational institutions
.gov.tr → For official government agencies
.av.tr → For Lawyers
