New Plant Variety Registration Process
Making the Application:
- Bank receipt of payment of the application fee
- Completing the application form completely
- Preparation of the file by adding the requested documents
Examination of the Application:
The applications are evaluated by a commission formed by experts and the Legal Counselling Office.
Subjects Analysed:
- Novelty of the variety
- Name of the variety
Publication of the Applications:
Accepted applications are numbered, recorded in the register and published.
If no objection is received in due time, the technical examination process is started.
Technical Examination :
Objectives:
- Confirmation that the variety belongs to the specified botanical class
- Determination that the variety is distinct, uniform and settled
- Preparation of variety specification certificate in case of compliance with the conditions
FYD tests are carried out by TTSMM. The applied varieties are compared with similar varieties of the same species.
