Required Documents and Application Processes for Intellectual and Artistic Works

  1. Foreign Film Shooting Permit

This application is for foreign producers who wish to shoot films in Turkey.

Registration and Certification for Imported Cinema Works

These applications are made to officially register and protect the respective works.

  1. Voluntary Registration and Certification Applications

According to Article 7 of the Regulation on the Registration and Certification of Intellectual and Artistic Works, works that are not subject to mandatory registration and certification can be registered and certified upon submission of the necessary documents.

Works Eligible for Voluntary Registration and Certification:

    • Scientific and Literary Works (Books, computer programs, projects, photographs, designs, etc.)
    • Fine Arts Works (Paintings, sculptures, photographs, cartoons, designs, etc.)
    • Musical Works (Oral and instrumental compositions, works notated in sheet music)

Non-periodical Publications

Banderol applications are made to protect the works against piracy and secure intellectual property rights.

  1. Music Work Producer Code Document Allocation

First Application (Candidate Producer Certificate):

Given for one year to those applying for the producer code certificate for the first time.

Permanent Producer Certificate:

Can be converted into a permanent producer certificate after one year if at least one music work is released.

Required Form: Music Work Producer Code/Certificate Request Form

  1. Cinema Work Producer Code Document Allocation

First Application (Candidate Producer Certificate):

Given for one year to those applying for the producer code certificate for the first time.

Permanent Producer Certificate:

Can be converted into a permanent producer certificate after one year if at least one cinema work is released.

  1. BİL-KOD Allocation (For Computer Programs)

You can obtain a BİL-KOD number from the Ministry of Culture for your computer programs.

BİL-KOD is assigned once per company and proves the work is yours when written on the program CDs.
