Başalan Istanbul Camera Museum was established in 2016 within the Başalan Patent and Trademark with camera and photo collections of Feriha Başalan and Ahmet Başalan. We are very proud of bringing a new museum to Istanbul after a meticulous research and collecting process which took many years.
We are preparing training programs to support to young talents who interested in the art of photography in Turkey with the IP Academy which will activate with the museum. Photograph clubs were established in museum for children and adults. The visitors who is the member of our Club will be benefit from many activities and photography training support especially educational grants with the support of Başalan Patent.
Basalan Istanbul Camera Museum planned the training program and the workshops which prepared for children and adults as part of museum communication. While determining the objectives and themes of the activities will realize in the workshops, it has been observed that the needs of the visitors from different age groups, the permanent collection of the museum and the temporary exhibitions.
Our workshops are designed for children to spend time with their families in the museum blissfully. Families can apply the workshop contents they attend in the museum also in outside the museum as they wish.
We aimed to turn the museum visit into a memorable and enjoyable experience by following the development process of photography and camera for the school groups visiting Başalan Istanbul Camera Museum with this training brochure.
There are suggestions in the brochure for teachers which help them to make preparations at the school before visiting to the museum. The travel route was constituted in two different themes which our guide in the museum will accompany to you. The first of these is for the age group of 4 – 7, and other is for the age group of 8 – 12.
It is very valuable for us to fill in the assessment form at the end of the brochure. We schedule our training program to enrich every year with your suggestions and contributions.
